ABOUT US

Born from a Passion to Help

where every step matters.

My name is Jessica Tillman and I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in Pediatrics. Throughout my experience over the years, I have seen an increasing prevalence of toe walking or kids that walk on the balls of their feet. When looking at the interventions to address toe walking such as casting, bracing in plastic orthotics, botox to deaden the calf muscle, and even surgery, I realized the need for a less invasive but just as effective alternative. That’s how I came up with No No Tiptoe. I wanted to give my patients an easy, effective and long lasting way to treat toe walking. This insert stops toe walking when placed in the shoe and can help a child continue on their path to proper development without any invasive or traumatic treatments.

OUR HAPPY PARENTS

Hear what they have to say

Our No No Tip Toe Insert is Patent Pending.
Compared with normal walking, it takes 83 percent more energy to walk on your toes. Toe walking can cause short term issues such as difficulties with balance, running, jumping, and participation in sports. Kids are more likely to fall and less likely to participate in activities with their peers. It can also lead to delays in motor skills, decreased social skills, decreased confidence, and foot pain. Long term repercussions include deformed bones and stretched ligaments, arthritis, weight gain, foot injuries and even surgeries. It is crucial to stop toe walking early on and prevent the damage. Our product is different because it addresses the different causes of toe walking. It provides a tactile cue to stop idiopathic toe walking and prompt kids to get off their toes. For sensory seekers, it provides the pressure through the ball of their foot to give them that sensation without going on their toes. Our product is not indicated for anyone with Cerebral Palsy or unilateral toe walking. If unsure, consult your doctor before using our product.

This insert has an ergonomic incline on the top that allows for a comfortable normal heel-toe gait pattern by letting the foot roll over the top. The foot is not meant to bear all of the weight on the ball of the foot. The normal gait pattern allows for one foot to perform “toe off” or rolling onto the ball of the foot while the other foot is taking the weight of the body. However, there is never a time in a normal gait pattern that all the weight of the body is on the ball of the foot. This insert has an ergonomic incline on the top that allows for a comfortable normal heel-toe gait pattern by letting the foot roll over the top. It makes it slightly uncomfortable to put all the weight on the ball of the foot, but allows for a comfortable normal heel toe gait pattern. It works in part to provide a tactile cue to remind kids to activate their muscles and get off their toes. Kids who walk on their toes are typically seeking increased input and sensory feedback. Decreasing the surface area of their foot provides increased proprioceptive input to their joint receptors. My device sits under the ball of the foot to help those sensory seekers by giving them that pressure under the ball of their foot without going on their toes.
